正月初五，也叫“破五”，是（shì）我國的傳統節日，在這一天有（yǒu）很多講究和習俗，在（zài）《歲時瑣事》中記載說：“欲有所作為，必過此五日，始行之”，意思就是在春節期（qī）間（jiān）有很多規矩和講究，不能亂說話，不能（néng）說不吉利的話，過了初五之後人們（men）不必有這些忌諱。
“破五”這一天，人們最在意的一件事情就是“送窮迎（yíng）財”，即智窮（qióng）、學窮、文窮（qióng）、命窮、交窮，民間把這五窮稱之為五窮鬼，大家會用不同的習俗將這五窮送走，比如在陝西韓城一帶，大家會炒麻豆，將豆子炒到劈裏啪啦作響，意（yì）思（sī）就時把（bǎ）壞的運氣“崩走（zǒu）”。當然除了送窮之外，這5件事，破五一定不要忘。
一、迎財神
據說正月初五是財神的生日，從這（zhè）一天淩晨開始，人們就開始相繼迎財神（shén），普通人家會給財（cái）神供上水果，麵條或者餃子，在燒香求拜，燃放鞭炮（pào）以此求得財運，而且給財神貢過的吃食，再讓家裏人吃，來年財運一定（dìng）會旺。
財神即五路神。所謂五路，指（zhǐ）東西南北中，意為出門五路，皆可得財。除了五路神之外，還有武財神，文財神等說法，但無（wú）論拜哪個財神，隻要心誠（chéng），皆能帶來財運。
二、吃餃子
俗話說“好吃不如餃子”，在中國大大小小的節日裏，都（dōu）離（lí）不開吃餃子，除（chú）了美（měi）味之外，它已經是（shì）中（zhōng）華美食重要的組成部分。從初一到初五禁（jìn）忌比較多，所以到了（le）破五吃餃子，表示慶賀不在（zài）有（yǒu）禁忌了。另外還（hái）有（yǒu）人“包餃子，捏住小人嘴”的說法，意思就是來年小人少說壞話（huà）。
三、打掃房子
從除夕開始（shǐ）到正（zhèng）月初四，通常是不會打掃房子的，尤其是掃地，老一輩人認為（wéi）會把財運掃走，而到了（le）破五這一天，就要由內到外把垃圾掃成一個堆，然後放上鞭炮，點然（rán）後劈裏啪啦，這樣不好的運氣都會（huì）一掃而光，剩下的便是財氣和福氣。
四、放鞭炮
正月初五這一天，家家戶（hù）戶都會（huì）燃放鞭（biān）炮，而且鞭炮越（yuè）響越長，寓意就越好，代表著把窮運，以及（jí）各種不吉利都能轟去，有人還會（huì）燃放二踢（tī）腳，也叫（jiào）“崩窮”，把（bǎ）晦氣和窮氣（qì）統統都崩掉。有些商（shāng）戶在（zài）初五這一天也會正（zhèng）式（shì）營業，放一串鞭炮，寓意今天財源（yuán）滾滾。
1.大年初五迎財神。大財小財，八方來（lái）財；養財蓄財，年年添財（cái）；招財進財，和氣生財；正財橫財，恭喜發財。財神日，接（jiē）財神，財氣衝（chōng）天，運亨通！
