正月初五（wǔ），也叫“破五”，是我國的傳統節日，在這一天有很多講（jiǎng）究和習俗，在《歲時瑣事》中記載（zǎi）說：“欲有所作為，必過此五日，始行之”，意（yì）思就是在春節期間有很多規矩和（hé）講究，不能亂說話，不能說不吉利的話，過了初五之後人們不必有這些忌諱。
“破五”這一（yī）天，人（rén）們最在意（yì）的一件事情就是“送窮迎財”，即智窮、學窮、文（wén）窮、命窮、交窮，民間把這五（wǔ）窮稱之為五窮鬼，大家會用不同的習俗（sú）將這五窮送走，比如在陝西韓城一（yī）帶，大家會炒麻豆，將（jiāng）豆（dòu）子炒到劈裏啪啦作響，意思就時把壞的運氣“崩（bēng）走”。當然除了送窮之外，這5件事，破五一定不要忘。
一、迎財神
據說正（zhèng）月初五是財神的生日，從這一（yī）天淩晨開始，人們就開始相繼迎財神，普通人家會給財神供上水果，麵條或者餃（jiǎo）子（zǐ），在燒香（xiāng）求拜，燃放鞭炮以此求得財（cái）運，而且給財神貢過的吃食，再讓（ràng）家裏人吃，來年財運一定會旺（wàng）。
財神即五路神（shén）。所謂五（wǔ）路，指東西南北中，意為出門五路，皆可得財。除了五路神（shén）之（zhī）外，還（hái）有武財神，文財（cái）神等說法，但無論拜哪個財（cái）神，隻（zhī）要心誠，皆能帶（dài）來（lái）財運。
二、吃餃子
俗（sú）話說“好吃不如餃子”，在（zài）中國大（dà）大小小的（de）節日裏，都離不開吃餃子，除了美味之外，它（tā）已經是中華（huá）美食重要的組成部分。從初一到初五（wǔ）禁忌比較多，所（suǒ）以到了破五吃餃（jiǎo）子，表示慶賀不在有（yǒu）禁忌了。另外還有人“包餃子，捏（niē）住小人嘴”的說法，意（yì）思就（jiù）是來（lái）年（nián）小人少說壞話（huà）。
三、打掃（sǎo）房子
從除夕開始到正月初四，通（tōng）常是不會打掃房子的，尤（yóu）其是掃地，老一輩人認為會把財運掃走，而到了破五這一天，就要由內到外把垃圾（jī）掃成一（yī）個（gè）堆，然後放上鞭炮，點然後劈裏啪啦，這（zhè）樣不（bú）好的運（yùn）氣都會一（yī）掃而光，剩（shèng）下的便是財氣和福氣。
四、放鞭炮
正月初五這一天，家家戶戶都（dōu）會燃放（fàng）鞭炮，而且鞭炮越響越長，寓意就越好（hǎo），代表著把窮運（yùn），以及各種不（bú）吉利都能（néng）轟去，有人還會燃放二踢腳，也叫“崩窮”，把晦氣和窮氣統統都崩掉。有些商戶在初五這一天也會正式營業，放一串鞭炮，寓意今天財源滾滾。
